It’s time

Goleta is beyond fun — like the day couldn’t have gotten any better… and then it did fun, or how did I not know this place existed until now fun. It’s one of California’s most exciting and authentic beach towns, with views and opportunities that just won’t quit. A hidden enclave just off of Highway 101 and a few minutes north of Santa Barbara, Goleta might very well be one of the state’s best-kept secrets. Lucky for you, it’s a secret we love to share.

Acres of lemon groves (which are regularly celebrated at the Goleta Lemon Festival) lead to miles of family-friendly bays and rugged ocean coastline. Festivals are fun and frequent. Ocean currents and trade winds carry stand-up paddleboarders for miles-long “sundowners,” and surfers paddle out to some of the best breaks in the world. The Santa Barbara Airport, which provides flights from 12 domestic nonstop destinations and more than 200 one-stop destinations, is just minutes away. A promising craft beer scene complements wineries, bistros, cafes, and restaurants.
